Morocco Accelerates Digital Transformation with Strategic Partnership
Morocco is advancing its digital transformation strategy by entering into a strategic partnership with ALTEN Morocco. This agreement, signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, and the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, aims to develop national skills in the fields of artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Signed in Rabat, this convention aligns with the "Morocco Digital 2030" strategy and the "Artificial Intelligence – Made in Morocco" roadmap. Its primary goal is to accelerate the digital transformation of the industrial fabric, enhance the competitiveness of the national economy, and position the Kingdom as a regional hub for technological innovation.
The partnership outlines the creation of an ecosystem dedicated to skills development, support for research and innovation, and attracting high-value investments. Additionally, it seeks to foster the emergence of innovative technological solutions tailored for the Moroccan industry.
This agreement encompasses several strategic areas, including the development of AI-based solutions for industry, launching innovation accelerators in the automotive, aerospace, and rail sectors, creating testing and prototyping platforms, and implementing specialized training programs in collaboration with Moroccan universities and engineering schools.
As part of this cooperation, the Ministry of Higher Education will adapt training pathways to meet the needs of future professions, while the Ministry of Industry will engage industrial stakeholders to assist their transition toward advanced technologies. The Ministry of Digital Transition will oversee innovation project monitoring, with ALTEN Morocco contributing its international expertise in technology transfer, innovative solutions development, and the strengthening of local skills.
Through this initiative, Morocco aims to expedite the development of a national artificial intelligence ecosystem, support industrial innovation, bolster its technological sovereignty, and prepare a new generation of talents equipped to meet the demands of the industry of the future.
