Bayer Morocco Strengthens Its Strategy in Health, Well-being, and Sustainable Agriculture

Bayer Morocco Takes a New Step Forward in Development

Bayer Morocco has reached a new milestone in its development by adopting a strategy that brings together its three main business areas: health, well-being, and agriculture. This new direction was unveiled during a Bayer Table Talk event held in Casablanca, where the group presented its vision for a model based on innovation, prevention, and sustainable development.

Through this approach, Bayer aims to create greater synergies between its various areas of expertise to address the health, food, and environmental challenges facing Morocco and the region.

Three Divisions Driving a Unified Strategy

The new roadmap is built around the group’s three divisions: Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health, and Crop Science.

The goal is to align their activities around three complementary priorities: care, protection, and nutrition. For Bayer Morocco, these missions can no longer be treated separately; they must now be incorporated into a holistic vision of sustainable development.

Accelerating Access to Medical Innovation

In the pharmaceutical sector, Bayer Morocco aims to enhance its contribution to the health system by promoting access to innovative treatments, developing partnerships with institutions, and supporting the skill advancement of healthcare professionals.

The group is notably focusing its efforts on several prioritized medical specialties, including women’s health, ophthalmology, oncology, and nephrology.

According to Anas Ziati, head of the Pharmaceuticals division at Bayer Morocco, the ambition is to go beyond merely marketing medications and to make a lasting contribution to improving patient care and strengthening health systems.

A Dedicated Offering for Everyday Health

Through its Consumer Health division, Bayer develops solutions aimed at the everyday well-being of consumers.

The offering notably includes pain relief treatments, vitamin supplements, intimate health products, and dermatological care.

The group also aims to enhance awareness campaigns to provide consumers with reliable information and to better manage their health on a daily basis.

For Ghita Karam, marketing manager for North-West Africa, this approach emphasizes both consumer support and the quality of the products offered.

Agriculture More Resilient to Climate Challenges

In the agricultural sector, Bayer Morocco is focused on innovation to assist farmers in coping with the effects of climate change and the scarcity of water resources.

Its Crop Science division offers solutions that combine crop protection, decision-support technologies, and technical assistance to improve yields while optimizing the use of natural resources.

Bayer’s teams work directly with farmers through on-the-ground demonstrations and technical follow-ups aimed at tailoring solutions to local realities.

According to Amina L’Kima, General Director of Bayer Morocco and Commercial Director of Crop Science for North Africa, the priority is to balance agricultural performance, sustainability, and adaptation to new climatic constraints.

A Vision Centered on Sustainable Development

By aligning its activities around a unified strategy, Bayer Morocco aims to respond coherently to the major challenges of public health, food security, and ecological transition.

The group believes that medical innovation, prevention, and sustainable agriculture are now closely interlinked and intends to leverage this complementarity to support the economic and social transformations of the Kingdom.
