Radisson Hotel Group Accelerates Its Expansion in Morocco with 30 Hotels Planned by 2030

Morocco’s Rising Appeal for International Hotel Groups

Morocco continues to ascend as one of the most attractive destinations for major international hotel groups. Fueled by strong tourism growth and the continuous improvement of its infrastructure, the Kingdom has now become a key focus for development by the Radisson Hotel Group, which aims to expand its portfolio to 30 properties in Morocco by 2030.

This strategy reflects the confidence of international investors in the potential of Morocco’s tourism sector, which is poised to play a significant role in the country’s economic development.

A Thriving Tourism Sector Attracting Investors

After welcoming 19.8 million visitors in 2025, Morocco maintained its momentum in the first quarter of 2026 with 4.3 million arrivals, marking a 7% increase compared to the same period the previous year.

This sustained growth, coupled with the development of tourism infrastructure, improved air connectivity, and the hosting of large international events, enhances the Kingdom’s attractiveness to global hotel groups.

Casablanca and Rabat at the Heart of New Projects

As part of its development plan, Radisson Hotel Group plans to open several new establishments, including a Radisson Blu Resort & Conference Center in Casablanca Bouskoura and the first Radisson hotel in Rabat.

The group aims to expand its offerings in major metropolitan areas as well as in leisure and beach destinations, supporting the upgrading of Morocco’s hotel industry.

Global Expansion Driven by Investor Confidence

This initiative in Morocco is part of a particularly dynamic international strategy. During the first half of 2026, Radisson Hotel Group signed or opened 160 hotels, representing over 22,000 rooms across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The group attributes this growth to renewed confidence from investors and hotel owners, alongside a consistently strong demand for properties that meet international standards.

Morocco: A Catalyst for Radisson’s African Growth

Africa is increasingly central to the group’s ambitions. Radisson Hotel Group now operates or has under development more than 100 hotels on the continent—a significant milestone in its expansion plan.

According to Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer, the group’s strategy is founded on creating sustainable value for both owners and travelers while continuing its international development.

With a presence in over 100 countries and more than 1,600 hotels in operation or development, Radisson Hotel Group now considers Morocco as one of its main growth drivers in Africa, confirming the Kingdom’s rise on the global tourism stage.
