CCM: Morocco Highlights Ten Film Projects at Berlinale 2026

Moroccan Cinematic Centre to Support Ten Film Projects at Berlinale 2026
The Moroccan Cinematic Centre (CCM) has announced its support for a selection of ten Moroccan film projects currently in development and post-production at the 76th edition of the Berlinale. Morocco will be featured as the honored country at the European Film Market (EFM), scheduled to take place from February 12 to 18, 2026.
This strategic initiative will provide these projects, helmed by recognized producers known for their artistic quality and international potential, with privileged visibility in one of the most influential markets in the global film industry. The goal is to foster opportunities for co-production, distribution, international sales, and access to international funding mechanisms.
According to a CCM communication, this selection underscores the growing recognition of Moroccan cinema, its vibrant creative landscape, and the maturity of its professionals on the international stage.
The call for projects, launched during the National Film Festival held in Tangier from October 17 to 25, 2025, accepted submissions between October 25 and November 24. A specialized committee then selected ten projects that met the artistic, narrative, and professional standards of the FOCUS MAROC – EFM 2026 program.
The selected producers include: Karim Dabbag (Kasbah Films), Merieme Addou (Iris Production), Oumayma Zekri Ajarrai (Seven Shots), Fayçal El Kadiri (Cygnus Productions), Ilham Raouf (Abel Aflam), Alaa Eddine Aljem (Le Moindre Geste), Lotfi Oukhiar (Azir Productions), Rachida Saadi (JanaProd), Lamia Chraibi (La Prod), and Khadija Alami (K Films).
These projects will benefit from personalized professional support, including meetings with international experts, access to key professional networks, and inclusion in the official program of the EFM. This support represents a major opportunity to enhance the international circulation of Moroccan works and solidify their position within the global cinematic ecosystem.
Through this initiative, the CCM reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a vibrant, innovative, and competitive film ecosystem, while showcasing Moroccan talent on the most prestigious professional stages.
