The province of Moulay Yaâcoub, long characterized by a lack of healthcare infrastructure and dependent on the cities of Fès and Meknès for specialized medical care, is preparing to welcome a new provincial hospital. This infrastructural project aims to improve access to healthcare for the local population.
A Major Healthcare Project Worth 571 Million Dirhams
This new hospital facility represents a total investment of 571 million dirhams, under a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Fès-Meknès region, which contributes 80 million dirhams to the budget.
The future hospital will offer a capacity of 150 beds and will be built according to modern standards, particularly incorporating the BIM (Building Information Modeling) method for project management and design.
A Regional Program to Strengthen the Healthcare System
This project is part of a comprehensive regional program estimated at 1.4 billion dirhams, aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the Fès-Meknès region.
The program also involves several provinces, including Boulemane, Taza, El Hajeb, Sefrou, and Meknès, in an effort to reduce territorial disparities in access to healthcare.
A Growing Investment Trend
Beyond the healthcare sector, the province of Moulay Yaâcoub is experiencing a rising trend in investments, with over 1.7 billion dirhams in private investments approved since 2022.
This development indicates a renewed economic attractiveness of the area.
