National Technical Direction of Refereeing to Host Media Briefing
Next Thursday, the National Technical Direction of Refereeing will hold a communication meeting aimed at media representatives, focusing on current events and developments in national refereeing.
An Initiative for Openness to the Media
In a statement, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation clarified that this meeting is part of an initiative for communication and openness. It is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Modernization of Refereeing and VAR Technologies
This gathering will provide an opportunity to showcase the latest advancements in the development of the refereeing system in Morocco, particularly the use of modern technologies, especially Video Assistant Referee (VAR). Detailed explanations will be offered regarding the intervention mechanisms and their contribution to the accuracy of on-field decisions.
A Space for Exchange with the Press
The meeting will also facilitate direct interaction with journalists, allowing for discussions around refereeing practices and bridging the gap between media and the technical and organizational aspects of the refereeing body.
Towards Greater Transparency and Professionalism
Through this initiative, the Federation aims to enhance the public and media’s understanding of how refereeing operates, with a commitment to transparency and the continuous improvement of the system.
