The Jadara Foundation Appoints Ilham Mourid as Executive Director
The Jadara Foundation has announced the appointment of Ilham Mourid as its new Executive Director. She succeeds Oumaima Mhijir, who led the organization for the past two and a half years, a period characterized by strengthening partnerships and developing programs aimed at supporting Moroccan youth.
This appointment marks the beginning of a new development phase for the organization, which aims to enhance its social impact by helping more young people from modest socio-economic backgrounds achieve academic, professional, and personal success.
A Career Spanning Over 25 Years in Management
With over twenty-five years of experience, Ilham Mourid has held several leadership positions in both the public and private sectors.
She notably served as a technical advisor within a ministerial cabinet before joining the Akwa Group, where she spent eight years as the Chief Financial Officer, contributing to the structuring of several strategic activities within the group.
Prior to her appointment, she had already been collaborating with the Jadara Foundation for several months on a mission focused on the strategic and financial structuring of the organization.
A Leader Familiar with Jadara’s Journey
Ilham Mourid’s journey is closely intertwined with that of the Jadara Foundation. A former recipient of a scholarship from the foundation in the 1990s, she now embodies the success of the support model developed by the organization, which has been empowering talented youth from disadvantaged backgrounds for over two decades.
Continuing the Mission for Equal Opportunities
Founded in 2001 as the Moroccan Student Foundation and recognized as a public utility, the Jadara Foundation works towards promoting equal opportunities by granting scholarships, offering mentorship, providing personalized support, and developing skills.
With Ilham Mourid taking the helm as Executive Director, the organization aims to continue its development, strengthen partnerships with public and private stakeholders, and expand its initiatives for Moroccan youth seeking access to higher education and sustainable professional integration.
