Morocco has distinguished itself among global markets, recording one of the highest increases in imports of Turkish products during May 2026. The Kingdom ranks third in terms of growth, according to data released by the Turkish Exporters Council.

These figures illustrate the rising demand in Morocco for Turkish products, amidst a backdrop of intensified trade relations between Rabat and Ankara.

An Increase of $98.2 Million

Data indicates that Moroccan imports from Turkey rose by $98.2 million compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, the total value of Turkish exports to Morocco reached approximately $440.6 million in May 2026, confirming the Kingdom’s position as one of the main African markets for Turkish products.

A Strengthening Trade Partnership

This development reflects the gradual strengthening of commercial ties between the two countries, driven by the diversification of trade and the expansion of the sectors involved.

The Moroccan market increasingly appears to be a strategic destination for Turkish exports, due to its geographical position and its role as a gateway to Africa and Europe.

Ukraine and Slovakia Lead Globally

On a global scale, Ukraine ranks first among countries experiencing the highest increase in imports from Turkey, with an increase of $339.6 million, bringing its total to $656.6 million.

This growth is primarily linked to demand for industrial products and equipment for infrastructure reconstruction and the energy sector.

Slovakia ranks second with an increase of $120.8 million, followed by Morocco in third place, Norway with $71.9 million, and Nigeria with $46.5 million.

Continued Expansion of Turkish Exports

These performances confirm the ongoing expansion of Turkish exports across several international markets, particularly in Europe and Africa.

They also reflect Turkey’s increasing integration into global supply chains and the diversification of its commercial outlets across various industrial and consumer sectors.
