Oncorad Group Strengthens Its Medical Governance in Morocco

Oncorad Group has taken an important step in its business development by establishing a Medical Affairs Department, which will report directly to the group’s presidency. This new strategic structure aims to support the expansion of the network, the development of new medical and surgical specialties, and to enhance coordination among its facilities.

To lead this entity, the group has appointed Dr. Hamza Samlali, an oncologist-radiotherapist who has been practicing at Littoral Clinic Ain Diab since 2017. This appointment reflects Oncorad Group’s commitment to further structuring its medical governance as it continues its transformation into a multidisciplinary hospital model.

A New Direction to Support Growth

The creation of the Medical Affairs Department is a response to the evolving activities of Oncorad Group, characterized by the opening of new facilities, the expansion of its healthcare offerings, and the development of its national presence.

Directly linked to the presidency, this role will support the group’s medical development in conjunction with the Medical & Health Directorate and the medical management of the various establishments.

Key responsibilities will include developing the medical offerings, strengthening partnerships with healthcare professionals, supporting the growth of the facilities, as well as promoting research and innovation.

Through this organization, Oncorad Group seeks to foster synergies among its various structures and improve the coherence of its medical strategy as its network expands.

Dr. Hamza Samlali Takes Charge of Medical Affairs

The group has entrusted this new responsibility to Dr. Hamza Samlali, a specialist in oncology and radiotherapy. Having worked at Littoral Clinic Ain Diab since 2017, he is already familiar with the medical and organizational environment of the group.

Dr. Samlali’s background includes training at the University Hospital of Casablanca and the Hospices Civils de Lyon. He also holds a specialized master’s degree in health management and marketing from ISCAE.

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Hamza Samlali serves as the deputy secretary general of the Moroccan Society of Oncology. His profile thus combines medical expertise with training in health organization management.

His appointment comes at a time when the group seeks to consolidate its organization and support the development of complementary specialties within its facilities.

From Expertise in Oncology to Multidisciplinary Services

Founded in 2000 by Professor Redouane Samlali and Dr. Omar Hajji, Oncorad Group initially developed around oncology before gradually broadening its scope of intervention.

Today, the group relies on two main brands: Littoral Clinic, dedicated primarily to oncology, and Oceanic Clinic, which focuses on providing multidisciplinary services. Its medical services cover several areas, including imaging, medical oncology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and robotic surgery.

This evolution aims to offer coordinated care from diagnosis to treatment and patient follow-up, mobilizing various specialties and advanced medical equipment.

The establishment of a Medical Affairs Department is intended to support this diversification and strengthen the links between the teams and facilities within the group.

The Entry of New Investors to Support Development

In 2023, Oncorad Group welcomed STOA and Cap Mezzanine 3 as new investors in its capital. This operation has strengthened its investment capacity and supported the continuation of its growth strategy.

In this context, structuring the medical governance represents an organizational aspect of the group’s development. The stated aim is to support the expansion of its network while enhancing coordination of its medical activities.

With the appointment of Dr. Hamza Samlali, Oncorad Group aims to facilitate its transition to a multidisciplinary hospital model and pursue its ambition to make specialized and innovative care accessible to an increasing number of patients in Morocco.
