Saudi Defense Ministry Intercepts Drones and Missiles

On Tuesday, April 7, the Saudi Defense Ministry announced that it had intercepted and destroyed 18 drones and 7 ballistic missiles in recent hours as part of ongoing efforts to defend the territory.

In a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency, official spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki noted that the ballistic missiles were targeting the eastern region. Debris fell near energy facilities, and damage assessments are still underway.

These attacks occur within a context of escalating geopolitical tensions, as Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations have been facing repeated drone and ballistic missile strikes since the end of February.
