Tourism in Morocco: A 7% Increase in Arrivals Confirms the Sector’s Momentum

The Positive Trend of Moroccan Tourism Continues
The Moroccan tourism sector is maintaining its upward trajectory, witnessing a 7% increase in visitor arrivals. This growth reaffirms the strength of the recovery and the increasing appeal of Morocco as a destination in international markets.
According to recent data from the Ministry of Tourism, the kingdom continues to benefit from a sustained momentum driven by improved air connectivity, the diversification of source markets, and the enhancement of accommodation and tourism experiences across various regions of the country.
This upward trend aligns with a sustained increase observed over the past few months, with tourist arrivals already reaching historical highs in recent years. In 2025, Morocco welcomed nearly 19.8 million tourists, solidifying its status as Africa’s top tourism destination.
The sector’s roadmap for 2023-2026 focuses on enhancing supply, improving air services, and upgrading tourism infrastructure, consistently delivering tangible results. This strategy aims to establish Morocco as a leading global destination sustainably.
The significant rise in tourism revenues further reflects the economic impact of the sector, which has become one of the pillars of national growth and job creation, with ambitious long-term goals in terms of visitor numbers and service enhancement.
In this context, the current dynamics confirm the central role of tourism in the Moroccan economy and its potential for growth in the coming years.
