Water Technologies: Marrakech Hosts the 9th Edition of SITeau 2026

Marrakech Becomes the Capital of Water Technologies
The city of Marrakech will host the 9th edition of the International Water, Sanitation, and Energy Technology Fair (SITeau) from May 13 to 15, 2026. This significant event is dedicated to addressing issues related to water, climate, and sustainable development.
Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this event will take place at the Mohammed VI Museum for Water Civilization in Morocco. This edition marks a historic shift, as it moves the fair from Casablanca to Marrakech after eight editions held in the economic metropolis.
Water, Energy, and Climate at the Heart of Discussions
This edition will focus on the nexus of water, energy, agriculture, and health, which is viewed as a strategic leverage point for tackling challenges related to climate change and water security.
The agenda includes a high-level international conference that will bring together national and international experts to explore sustainable solutions and technological innovations in the management of water and energy resources.
A Platform for Decision-Makers, Researchers, and Businesses
SITeau 2026 will gather institutional players, economic operators, researchers, academics, NGOs, startups, and representatives from civil society.
The event aims to strengthen public-private partnerships and promote the emergence of innovative solutions in response to water stress and growing environmental challenges.
A dedicated exhibition showcasing careers in water, sanitation, and energy will also be organized to highlight new technologies and initiatives developed in these strategic sectors.
Youth and Startups in the Spotlight
This ninth edition places significant emphasis on youth and innovation through various initiatives aimed at young professionals and startups specialized in water technologies.
The program will include intergenerational meetings, allowing young talents to engage with experts and decision-makers on issues related to sustainable water management.
Additionally, awareness workshops for children will be organized to foster a culture of resource preservation from an early age.
Morocco Strengthens Its Position on Water Issues
Through SITeau 2026, Morocco reaffirms its commitment to enhancing its regional and international role in discussions about water security, energy transition, and climate adaptation.
The fair aligns with global discussions focused on water, particularly in anticipation of the 11th World Water Forum scheduled for Riyadh in 2027, where Morocco will award the Hassan II Prize for Water.
