The General Directorate of Meteorology predicts a relatively cold to chilly day on Tuesday, April 14, particularly in the Atlas mountain range and high plateaus, with minimum temperatures potentially dropping to -4°C.
Low Clouds and Light Rain in Some Areas
Dense low clouds are also expected, accompanied locally by light rain, especially in the Gharb and Loukkos regions. The sky will be partly cloudy to occasionally overcast over the Rif and northern Oriental areas.
Strong Wind Gusts and Localized Dust Storms
Strong wind gusts will blow over the central coasts and southern provinces, potentially leading to localized dust storms. Elsewhere, the weather will remain generally stable with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures Decreasing in the Southeast, Rising Elsewhere
Minimum temperatures will range between -4°C and 3°C in the Atlas mountains, between 3°C and 8°C in the Oriental region, the phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, and the Rif, and between 7°C and 15°C in the rest of the country. During the day, a decrease in temperatures is expected in the southeast, while a slight increase is projected for other regions.
Sea Conditions Varying by Area
The sea will be calm to moderately rough in the Mediterranean, tranquil to slightly choppy in the Strait, and slightly rough to rough between Cape Spartel and Mehdia. It will be strong to very strong in localized areas between Cape Sim and Tarfaya, and rough to considerably rough along the remaining coastlines.
