Reception in Honor of the Moroccan U17 African Champions

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) hosted a reception on Saturday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé to celebrate the victory of the U17 national team, which has been crowned champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This event allowed the young champions, affectionately dubbed the Atlas Lion Cubs, to celebrate their title alongside their families and loved ones in a warm and festive atmosphere, as emphasized by the FRMF in an official statement.
During the reception, the FRMF president, Fouzi Lekjaa, read a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI addressed to the members of the national team following their remarkable achievement.
The FRMF highlighted that this event served to reward the sustained efforts of the players and coaching staff throughout the tournament. This victory further enriches the accolades of Moroccan football, which has seen a wealth of achievements in recent years.
The Moroccan U17 team clinched the 15th edition of AFCON by defeating the Malian team in the final, winning in a penalty shootout (4-2) after a goalless draw at the end of regulation time on Saturday at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.
