World No. 1 Jannik Sinner dominated Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime on Thursday, winning 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals of the Cincinnati Masters 1000.
The defending champion in Ohio achieved his 25th consecutive victory on hard court, thoroughly outplaying the 28th-ranked player in the world in just 1 hour and 15 minutes of play.
Sinner dropped only nine points out of 34 in the first set. He experienced a slight slip at the start of the second, getting broken and trailing 2-0 before regaining control and winning the last six games.
In the semifinals on Saturday, Sinner will face French player Térence Atmane (23 years old), ranked 136th in the world and coming through the qualifiers.
