CHAN 2025: Morocco Defeats Zambia and Strengthens Qualification Prospects

The Moroccan national team of local players achieved a valuable victory against Zambia (3-1) on Thursday during the fourth matchday of Group A in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), held at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.

The goals for the Atlas Lions were scored by Mohamed Hrimat in injury time of the first half (45+2), Oussama Lamlioui in the 67th minute, and Sabir Bougrine in the dying moments of the match (90+5). Zambia managed to narrow the deficit with a goal by Andrew Phiri in the 70th minute.

With this victory, Morocco now totals six points from three matches, thereby strengthening its chances for qualification as the tournament progresses.
