CASAREGIONSPORT: Casablanca Municipality Approves Creation of New Sports Infrastructure Company
The Casablanca Municipal Council approved the establishment of the Casablanca Sports Infrastructure Company, "CASAREGIONSPORT," during an extraordinary session held on Tuesday. This new entity aims to enhance the city’s sports infrastructure, modernize public facilities, invigorate sporting and cultural activities across various districts, and improve the quality of services for residents.
Presided over by Nabila Rmili, the session validated 32 of the 35 items on the agenda, demonstrating a clear commitment to accelerating urban development and optimizing public services within the city.
Among the approved decisions were favorable opinions on development plans for the districts of Maarif, Roches Noires, and Aïn Sebaâ, as well as delegating to the Local Development Company "Casablanca Baia" the task of rehabilitating and equipping the municipal pound in Oulad Azzouz.
The Council also adopted the statute of the Casablanca Sports Infrastructure Company and approved the amendment of fiscal decision No. 01/2018 concerning taxes and fees allocated to the municipal budget.
Several partnership agreements were amended, including those related to the restoration of the old slaughterhouses, the rehabilitation of the central market, the creation of social centers for women and children, and support for youth associations working on climate change issues. Projects for the development of sports fields and complexes throughout the city also received positive feedback.
Nabila Rmili emphasized that these decisions mark a significant step toward developing structural facilities, enhancing services for residents, and establishing a sustainable development model based on integrated urban spaces that meet the needs of Casablanca’s population.
