In 2024, the Dacia Sandero, a model produced at Renault’s factories in Tangier, claimed the top spot as the best-selling car in Europe. According to market analysis conducted by Jato Dynamics, a specialized research firm, the Dacia Sandero recorded 268,101 new registrations, surpassing the Tesla Model Y, which held the top position the previous year.

This iconic model from Dacia, a brand owned by the Renault Group since 1999, dominated the European market, allowing Renault to secure the second position with its Renault Clio, which saw 216,317 new registrations. This result underscores the significance of the French automaker’s industrial footprint, particularly with vehicle production in Morocco, which contributes to the growth of sales in Europe.
