Weather Conditions: Temporary Suspension of Classes on Tuesday in Several Provinces of the Casablanca-Settat Region

Weather-Related School Closures Announced in Casablanca-Settat Region
Several provincial departments under the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) in the Casablanca-Settat region have announced the temporary suspension of classes in both public and private educational institutions due to adverse weather conditions.
Effective from Tuesday, the suspension applies to the provincial departments of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in Settat, Berrechid, El Jadida, and Sidi Bennour, as well as specific municipalities within the provincial department of Nouaceur.
This precautionary measure aims to ensure the safety of students, educational staff, administrative personnel, and the public, following an orange alert issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) on Sunday.
The decision aligns with the directives from the supervisory department concerning safety measures within educational establishments and the prevention of risks associated with severe weather conditions.
In this context, the AREF of Casablanca-Settat has implemented a series of actions, including mobilizing regional, provincial, and local monitoring units specially tasked with overseeing the situation and coordinating necessary arrangements with local authorities.
Additionally, the presidency of Hassan I University in Settat has announced the preventive suspension of classes across all its affiliated institutions due to the ongoing weather disruptions affecting the region.
