The CDG is set to take exclusive control of JAIDA.

The Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) is set to strengthen its control over JAIDA, a company specializing in the financing of microfinance institutions in Morocco. This operation involves acquiring an additional 18.3% stake in the share capital, along with corresponding voting rights.
This transaction is expected to enable the CDG to gain exclusive control of JAIDA, a key player in the financing of microfinance institutions operating in the Moroccan market.
A Strategic Stake in Microfinance
JAIDA is a publicly traded company registered with the commercial registry in Rabat. Notably, its headquarters is located in the same building as the CDG in the capital.
The company primarily focuses on financing microfinance institutions present in Morocco. Through this positioning, JAIDA contributes to funding entities that support populations and small economic ventures that traditionally have limited access to conventional financing channels.
The acquisition of this additional 18.3% stake will significantly enhance the CDG’s role within JAIDA, allowing it to ensure exclusive control of the company moving forward.
CDG Strengthens Its Role in Development Financing
Established in 1959, the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion is a public institution tasked with securing and preserving regulated savings and pension funds.
The institution also plays a crucial role in mobilizing these resources for the economic and social development of Morocco through various investments and financing mechanisms.
The takeover of JAIDA aligns with this strategy, enhancing the CDG’s presence in a sector that plays a vital role in providing access to financing for specific population segments and small economic activities.
JAIDA at the Heart of Microfinance Funding
Through this operation, the CDG is consolidating its exposure to the microfinance sector in Morocco.
The acquisition of the additional 18.3% stake pertains to both the share capital and the voting rights of JAIDA. This move is expected to allow the CDG to transition from a significant existing position to exclusive control of the company.
This evolution could provide the public institution with greater capacity to steer JAIDA’s strategy and support the development of financing for microfinance institutions in Morocco.
