Weather Forecast for Tuesday, December 23, 2025

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued the following weather forecast:

• Significant rain or thunderstorms expected locally in the regions of Tangier, Loukkos, the Rif, and Gharb.
• Often cloudy skies with precipitation anticipated in Saiss, the Mediterranean, northern Oriental, the Middle Atlas, the phosphate plateaus, and Oulmès.
• Snowfall is likely above 1,900 meters in the High and Middle Atlas, and starting from 1,400 meters in the Rif and Oriental regions.
• Strong gusts of wind can be expected across the northern Atlantic plains, the Rif, Middle Atlas, Saiss, southern provinces, Oriental, and locally in the Mediterranean.
• Minimum temperatures are forecast to range from -10 to -5°C in the Atlas Mountains, -1 to 4°C in the Rif, Southeast, and eastern high plateaus, 12 to 16°C in the southern provinces and coastal areas, and 6 to 10°C elsewhere.
• A slight increase in temperatures is expected in the Atlas, Southeast, South, and Oriental regions.
• The Mediterranean Sea will be rough to very rough; the Strait will be moderate to rough; conditions will be rough to very rough north of Larache, strong to very strong between Larache and Tarfaya, and generally rough elsewhere.
