Partial Resumption of Classes in Northern Morocco

Gradual Return to In-Person Education
Schools under the authority of the Tanger-Assilah Prefecture and the Fahs-Anjra Province will resume in-person classes starting on February 10. However, this return will be partial in the provinces of Ouezzane, Al Hoceima, and the M’diq-Fnideq Prefecture due to adverse weather conditions.
Full Resumption in Tanger-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra
The provincial departments of National Education, Preschool, and Sports in Tanger-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra have announced the normal resumption of in-person classes across all schools within their respective jurisdictions.
Continued Suspension in Rural Areas
In the provinces of Ouezzane and M’diq-Fnideq, educational authorities have decided to resume classes only in urban schools while maintaining their suspension in rural areas due to accessibility issues and unfavorable weather conditions.
Differentiated Decisions in Al Hoceima Province
The provincial department of Al Hoceima has announced the resumption of in-person classes on February 10 in several municipalities, including Al Hoceima, Ajdir, Imzouren, Bni Bouayach, Ait Youssef Ou Ali, Rouadi, and Bni Hadifa. However, classes will remain suspended in other municipalities of the province due to ongoing weather disruptions.
Exceptional Suspension in Tétouan, Chefchaouen, and Larache
Moreover, the provincial departments of Tétouan and Chefchaouen have decided to suspend classes on Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, the provincial department of Larache announced the suspension of classes starting this Monday in schools within the Ksar El Kébir municipality due to rising water levels in the Oued Loukkos.
