Weather Alert: Strong Winds and Sand Storms in Several Regions of Morocco

The Directorate General of Meteorology has issued an orange alert for strong wind gusts accompanied by sand or dust storms in several regions across the kingdom, expected from Thursday to Friday.

Wind Speeds and Affected Areas
According to the bulletin, winds are expected to blow at speeds ranging from 95 to 115 km/h in the Al Haouz and Taroudant prefectures, and between 75 and 95 km/h in the areas of Chichaoua, Inezgane-Aït Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Guelmim, Tata, Azilal, Chtouka-Aït Baha, Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Ouarzazate, Tangier-Assilah, and Fahs-Anjra, from Thursday at 11:30 AM until Friday at 9:00 AM.

Extension of the Phenomenon to Other Regions
The same phenomenon (75 to 95 km/h) is expected on Friday, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, in the regions of Tan-Tan, Assa-Zag, Boujdour, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, and Smara.

Safety Recommendations
The Directorate General of Meteorology advises citizens to exercise caution and avoid any direct exposure to strong winds and dust, particularly motorists and residents of the most affected areas.
