Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Nearly Steady
On Friday, the Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading session close to equilibrium, with its key index, the MASI, slipping by 0.01% to reach 17,156.05 points.
The MASI 20, which comprises the 20 most liquid stocks, saw a slight uptick of 0.06%, climbing to 1,310.71 points. Conversely, the MASI ESG, which includes companies with the highest ESG ratings, experienced a decline of 0.15%, settling at 1,178.61 points.
Meanwhile, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, an index that reflects the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, fell by 0.34%, dropping to 1,730.27 points.
On Thursday, the MASI closed on a stable note, resting at 17,157.76 points.
