Weather Alert: Heatwave in Several Regions of the Kingdom

Heat Wave Announcement
On Thursday, April 16, the General Directorate of Meteorology announced the arrival of a heat wave that will affect several regions of the Kingdom, starting from Friday, April 17, until Sunday, April 19.
Orange Alert Level
In a weather alert issued at an "orange" vigilance level, the organization specified that this notable increase in temperatures will mainly concern the southern provinces, urging caution during this period.
Expected High Temperatures
According to forecasts, temperatures are expected to range between 37°C and 40°C in the provinces of Smara, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Laâyoune, Tarfaya, Aousserd, Oued Eddahab, and Boujdour.
Recommendations for Citizens
In light of these climatic conditions, citizens are advised to take preventive measures, including avoiding direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day and staying hydrated regularly, especially for the most vulnerable individuals.
