Weather: Rise in Temperatures and Local Thunderstorms This Monday

Here are the weather forecasts for Monday, April 20, 2026, as established by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM):

– Rising temperatures with warm weather expected in the northern and central plains, Souss region, Southeast, and Southern areas.

– Local mist or light drizzle formations along the northern and central coasts in the morning and at night.

– Instabilities with showers or thunderstorm activity in certain areas of the High and Middle Atlas as well as northern Oriental regions.

– Moderate gusts of wind in the High Atlas, Central, and Southern regions, accompanied by local sand-drifting.

– Minimum temperatures around 5 to 12°C in the Atlas and Rif regions, ranging from 20 to 26°C in the northern Saharan provinces, Souss, Southeast, and central plains, and between 13 to 19°C elsewhere.

– Diurnal temperatures are expected to decrease in the southern Saharan provinces and increase in other areas.

– The sea will be smooth to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait, and calm along the Atlantic coastline.
