Weather Forecast for Tuesday, April 14
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a relatively cold to chilly day, particularly in the Atlas Mountains and high plateaus, with minimum temperatures potentially dropping as low as -4°C.
Low Clouds and Light Rain in Some Areas
Dense low clouds are expected, accompanied locally by light rain, especially over the Gharb and Loukkos regions. The sky will be partly cloudy to overcast in the Rif and northern Oriental regions.
Gusty Winds and Localized Sandstorms
Strong gusts of wind will blow across the central coasts and southern provinces, potentially leading to localized sandstorms. Elsewhere, the weather will remain generally stable with a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky.
Declining Temperatures in the Southeast, Rising Elsewhere
Minimum temperatures will range from -4°C to 3°C in the Atlas Mountains, between 3°C and 8°C in the Oriental region, the phosphate plateaus, Oulmès, and the Rif, and between 7°C and 15°C across the rest of the country.
During the day, a drop in temperatures is expected in the southeast, while a slight increase is anticipated in other regions.
Variable Sea State Depending on the Coastline
The sea will be slightly to moderately rough in the Mediterranean, calm to slightly rough in the Strait, and slightly to moderately rough between Cape Spartel and Mehdia, with localized strong to very strong conditions between Cape Sim and Tarfaya. It will be rough to very rough along the remaining coastlines.
