High-Level Meeting in Washington to Strengthen Moroccan-American Defense Cooperation

In line with the implementation of the high royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, and on the sidelines of the 14th session of the Moroccan-American Defense Consultative Commission, held from April 14 to 16 in Washington, a high-level meeting was conducted between the two parties.

Discussions on Strengthening Defense Partnership

The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration, accompanied by the Army Corps General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, engaged in talks with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

The discussions focused on ways to solidify and further develop bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America, particularly in the areas of military cooperation and defense.

High-Level Diplomatic Presence

The meeting occurred in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Washington, as well as the U.S. Ambassador in Rabat, reflecting the strategic dimension of the relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to enhancing coordination and dialogue.

Towards a Strengthened Strategic Partnership

The exchanges highlighted the necessity of continuing to develop the Moroccan-American partnership in the field of defense, to consolidate existing cooperation and contribute to strengthening security and stability at both regional and international levels.
