Rabat to Host FIFA Electoral Congress in 2027

FIFA has selected Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to host its elective congress during the 77th session of its general assembly, which will see the participation of around 2,000 representatives from 211 national federations worldwide.

This decision was made during a FIFA Council meeting chaired by Gianni Infantino, held today in Vancouver, Canada, which will host the general assembly congress of FIFA tomorrow. This designation underscores Morocco’s strong reputation and the trust it enjoys in organizing major international events.

The elective general assembly is scheduled for March 18, 2027, in Rabat. This will be the second assembly held in Morocco, following the ordinary general assembly that took place in Marrakech in 2005.
