Extension of the Application Deadline for the 2024 National Press Grand Prize

Extended Deadline for 22nd National Press Grand Prix (GPNP) 2024
The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (Department of Communication) has announced an extension for applications to the 22nd edition of the National Press Grand Prix (GPNP) 2024, now due by October 31. According to a statement, this decision is intended to give journalists more time to complete their application files.
The GPNP includes several categories, such as awards for television, radio, print media, digital media, news agencies, and regional press. There are also specific awards for Amazigh journalistic production and cultural coverage of the Sahrawi Hassani space. Other accolades recognize achievements in photography, investigative journalism, and caricature.
Two honorary awards are also planned: one for a national figure who has made a significant impact on the media landscape, and the other for Moroccan journalists working in foreign media, whether in Morocco or abroad.
Candidates must be of Moroccan nationality, have at least three years of experience in a national or regional media outlet, and hold a press card for the current year. They must not be part of the organizing committee or the jury for the award, nor have been winners of the last three editions.
Applications may be submitted individually or collectively, but each application must focus on a single work per category, except for the photography award, which allows up to ten works. Each media outlet can also propose a candidate.
The works must have been published or broadcast between October 1, 2023, and the end of September 2024. For online media, it is imperative to keep the works accessible on their websites until the announcement of the winners.
Applications should be submitted to the secretariat of the GPNP organizing committee, located at the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication in Rabat, along with the application form available on the website www.mjcc.gov.ma.
