RCI Finance Morocco: Auto Financing Increases by 21.3%

RCI Finance Morocco Reports Strong Performance in the First Half of 2026
RCI Finance Morocco has shown impressive growth in the first half of 2026, posting a consolidated net banking income of 385 million dirhams, a 21.3% increase compared to the previous year. The company has also recorded a rise in automotive financing and outstanding loans, which now exceed 10.9 billion dirhams, driven primarily by activities associated with the Renault and Dacia brands.
Over 2.1 Billion Dirhams in New Automotive Financing
The automotive financing market in Morocco continues to develop, supported by the needs of individuals, businesses, and distribution networks. In this context, RCI Finance Morocco confirms a positive trend in its operations throughout the first six months of 2026.
The production of new financing for vehicle acquisitions reached 2.116 billion dirhams, up from 2.053 billion during the same period in 2025, marking a 3.1% increase. This growth reflects an upward commercial activity, despite a stabilization in production during the second quarter compared to the previous year.
Revenue growth is even more pronounced. The consolidated net banking income reaches 385 million dirhams, representing a 21.3% year-on-year increase. This performance highlights the contribution of financing activities and associated services, as part of a strategy aimed at supporting commercial development while ensuring profitability and risk management.
Outstanding Financing Exceeds 10.9 Billion Dirhams
The evolution of the portfolio is another significant indicator of RCI Finance Morocco’s semi-annual performance. By the end of June 2026, the total net outstanding loans surpassed 10.9 billion dirhams, recording a year-on-year increase of 21.4%.
Financing extended to individuals and businesses amounted to 7.03 billion dirhams, marking a 16.9% increase. Meanwhile, financing allocated to dealerships rose to 3.87 billion dirhams, representing a growth of 30.5% year-on-year.
This increase can be attributed to adjustments in stock levels within the Renault and Dacia distribution networks amidst robust automotive demand. Financing for dealerships plays a crucial role in the commercial chain, facilitating the supply to retail outlets ahead of vehicle sales to end customers.
The Growing Importance of Dealership Financing
The rapid increase in financing available to dealership networks underscores the significance of this segment in the dynamics of RCI Finance Morocco. With a 30.5% growth, these financings help meet the cash flow and inventory management needs of automotive distributors.
This shift occurs in an environment where vehicle availability and the capacity of networks to respond to demand are significant challenges for manufacturers and their commercial partners.
For RCI Finance Morocco, the challenge lies in supporting this growth while maintaining a balance between financing sales, the needs of distributors, and risk management related to fluctuations in the automotive market.
Increasing Role of Capital Markets in Refinancing
The increase in activity is accompanied by a shift in the company’s financial structure. Financial debt rose by 1.65 billion dirhams compared to the first half of 2025, while the growth in activity added an additional 1.9 billion dirhams to the balance sheet.
At the same time, RCI Finance Morocco is strengthening its reliance on capital markets, which now account for 56.6% of its refinancing outstanding, an increase of 33 percentage points year-on-year.
Bank debt stands at 3.7 billion dirhams, down 6.4%. In contrast, financing from financing company notes and bond issuances has reached 4.82 billion dirhams, up 65.2%.
This diversification of resources signifies an evolution in the company’s refinancing model. It enables the broadening of funding sources and reduces reliance on traditional bank loans. However, it necessitates increased attention to the conditions of financial markets and the cost of mobilized resources.
Striking a Balance Between Growth and Profitability
The results from the first half of 2026 confirm RCI Finance Morocco’s advancement across several key indicators, including new automotive financing, banking revenues, and outstanding loans. The dynamic of financing extended to dealerships also plays a crucial role in this progression.
To consolidate its performance, the company must continue to develop its portfolio while managing the cost of refinancing and the quality of its commitments. In a changing automotive market, this balance will be vital to sustainably support its growth and meet the demands of individuals, businesses, and distribution networks in Morocco.
