SRMs at IFAT Munich 2026: International Cooperation and Innovation for Water and the Environment

A delegation from the Regional Multi-Service Companies (SRM), under the auspices of the Directorate of Local Public Networks (DRPL), attended the IFAT Munich 2026 trade fair held in Munich. This event is regarded as one of the world’s leading platforms dedicated to water, sanitation, and environmental technologies.
A Strategic Partnership with GIZ
This participation is part of a technical cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), which has facilitated the engagement of Moroccan stakeholders and their integration into this international exchange space. This partnership illustrates the strength of cooperative relations and the commitment to enhancing the capabilities of Moroccan public actors in facing environmental challenges.
Discovering Innovations in the Water Sector
The delegation was able to learn about the latest innovations in:
- Sustainable water resource management,
- Treatment and reuse of wastewater,
- Energy efficiency of infrastructures,
- Smart solutions for network performance.
These technologies represent significant leverage for improving the resilience of water management systems.
Active Contribution of SRM Souss Massa
The SRM Souss Massa played a central role in the technical exchanges, showcasing its field experience and commitment to integrated and sustainable water resource management tailored to local realities.
Competition and Recognition of Skills
On the sidelines of the fair, the delegation participated in the “Water Skills” competitions organized by the German Association of the Water, Wastewater, and Waste Sector. These challenges highlight the expertise of professionals and their role in the quality of public services.
