Health and Innovation: LEMM Highlights Future Challenges at Gitex Future Health

The inaugural edition of GITEX Future Health Morocco brought together various stakeholders from the medical, pharmaceutical, and technological sectors to discuss the significant transformations reshaping the future of healthcare. Among the participants, LEMM distinguished itself with a focus on therapeutic innovation, the digitalization of the healthcare system, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships.
The LEMM booth notably welcomed a visit from Amine Tehraoui, the Minister of Health and Social Protection. This meeting facilitated discussions around the challenges facing the development of Morocco’s healthcare system and the opportunities presented by innovation in therapeutic fields.

According to LEMM, this visit also highlighted the importance of dialogue between public authorities and the Moroccan subsidiaries of international groups present in the country, aimed at identifying new avenues for cooperation to support the national healthcare ecosystem.

During the two-day event, several strategic themes were addressed. Discussions focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence and the utilization of clinical data in improving medical diagnosis and clinical decision-making, mainly due to advancements in generative AI and the structuring of health data.
Conversations also emphasized the resilience of pharmaceutical supply chains, particularly in an international context that necessitates securing access to medications. Nearshoring and regional partnerships between Morocco and Europe were presented as strategic levers to strengthen health sovereignty.
Another major topic discussed at the conference was the development of patient-centered digital health. Speakers underscored the importance of remote medical monitoring and digital care pathways in enhancing patient experience and optimizing system resources.
Through its participation, LEMM emphasized the role of innovative solutions in accelerating sector reforms, improving the efficiency of health services, and reducing time and material resource waste, benefiting both patients and professionals.
Finally, LEMM praised the quality of discussions with visitors, experts, and partners present during this first edition of GITEX Future Health, reaffirming that the health of tomorrow will rely on innovation, cooperation, and strengthened public-private partnerships.
