Fuels in Morocco: Diesel Prices to Decrease Starting June 1, 2026

New Diesel Price Drop for Moroccan Motorists
Moroccan motorists will benefit from a new decrease in diesel prices starting Monday, June 1, 2026. According to industry professionals, distributors will implement a reduction of 53 cents per liter, while the price of gasoline remains unchanged.
This adjustment follows several fluctuations in fuel prices recorded over recent weeks. In May, gas stations experienced a decline in prices before a subsequent increase in gasoline prices in mid-May, reflecting the persistent volatility of international energy markets.
With this decrease, the price of diesel is expected to settle around 13.97 dirhams per liter at various gas stations across the Kingdom, down from nearly 14.50 dirhams previously, depending on the region and distributor. Meanwhile, gasoline is expected to remain stable at around 14.55 dirhams per liter.
This reduction brings relief to many users, especially in the commercial transport sector, agriculture, and businesses that heavily rely on mobility and logistics costs. However, fuel price fluctuations continue to be directly tied to the trends in international crude oil prices and supply costs.
Despite this decline in diesel prices, pump rates remain generally high compared to levels seen before the significant global tensions in energy markets that have occurred in recent years.
