Dakhla: A Specialized Center Enhances Support for Individuals with Autism

The Autism Center in Dakhla has emerged as a leading institution dedicated to supporting children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. Through tailored educational, therapeutic, and psychological programs, it plays a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life and promoting social inclusion.
Under the auspices of the Regional Directorate of National Solidarity in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, the center currently serves 185 beneficiaries with a total capacity of 200 children with disabilities. The services offered include psychomotor rehabilitation, speech therapy, educational support, communication skills development, and family assistance through training and awareness sessions.
The establishment also provides sensory-motor stimulation sessions and aquatic rehabilitation aimed at improving beneficiaries’ autonomy, balance, and motor skills. Additionally, various practical workshops are organized in fields such as computer science, cooking, drawing, crafts, recycling, and artistic expression to develop life skills and encourage social and professional integration.
Supported by a collective mobilization of local authorities, National Solidarity, and the associative fabric, this center exemplifies the efforts made in the region to promote social inclusion, equal opportunities, and specialized support for individuals with autism. Beneficiary families have noted significant progress in their children, particularly in communication, learning, and social integration.
