Casablanca Stock Exchange: Opening Slightly Lower This Friday, Despite Positive ESG Index

Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts Friday with a Dip
The Casablanca Stock Exchange began Friday’s session on a negative note, as its main indices continued to decline following the correction observed in the previous session.
The flagship index, MASI, dropped by 0.15%, settling at 18,022.40 points after already retracting by 0.28% by the close of Thursday.
Meanwhile, the MASI.20, which encompasses the 20 largest listed market capitalizations, recorded a decrease of 0.39%, reaching 1,327.40 points.
In contrast, the MASI.ESG index, which measures the performance of companies rated highly in terms of environmental, social, and governance factors, saw a rise of 0.14%, climbing to 1,277.51 points.
Additionally, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index, focused on small and medium-sized capitalizations, also experienced a decline of 0.20%, finishing at 1,824.65 points. This reflects a degree of caution among investors at the start of the session.
