Weather Forecast for Morocco: Hot Conditions and Thunderstorm Risks This Saturday, June 27

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts generally warm weather across several regions of the Kingdom for Saturday, June 27. High temperatures are expected to persist in the Oriental region, the Moulouya Valley, the Saïss area, the interior of Gharb, the Tadla plains, the Southeast, as well as in the eastern and southern Saharan provinces.
Morning Fog and Isolated Thunderstorms
Low clouds accompanied by mist are anticipated during the morning along the Atlantic coasts, in the Saïss region, the Souss area, and the northwest of the Southern provinces.
Moreover, thunderstorm cells could develop in the Oriental region, the Middle Atlas, and the High Atlas, potentially bringing localized heavy showers. Moderate to strong gusts of wind are also expected along the central coasts and in the Saharan provinces, which may lead to dust uplift in certain areas.
Slight Decrease in Temperatures
Minimum temperatures will range from 25 to 30°C in the Southeast and the extreme south of the country, from 20 to 25°C in the Oriental region and the northeast of the Saharan provinces, from 10 to 15°C in the Atlas mountains, and between 16 and 21°C across the rest of the territory.
Maximum temperatures will experience a slight drop in most regions of the Kingdom.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar. On the Atlantic coast, conditions will be mildly choppy to rough.
