Oracle inaugurates a second R&D center in Morocco, choosing Agadir to accelerate AI innovation.

Oracle continues to strengthen its presence in Morocco with the opening of a new research and development hub in Agadir. Following its center in Casablanca, this second facility reaffirms the American giant’s commitment to making the Kingdom a regional hub of innovation in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies for international markets.

Oracle Expands Its Investments in Morocco

Oracle takes a significant step forward in its development strategy in Morocco by inaugurating its second research and development (R&D) hub, this time in Agadir.

This new establishment comes just weeks after the launch of the first R&D center in Casablanca and reflects the group’s ambition to sustainably strengthen its presence within the Moroccan technology ecosystem.

The new site was inaugurated in the presence of government head Aziz Akhannouch, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate for Investment Karim Zidane, as well as Simon de Montfort Walker, Executive Vice President of Oracle.

Agadir Becomes a New Technological Innovation Hub

Through this new center, Oracle aims to develop cutting-edge technologies from Morocco for international markets.

The Agadir hub will focus on several strategic areas, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AI-based applications, data platforms, and digital solutions for various sectors.

This new structure will complement the activities of the Casablanca center to enhance the group’s research and innovation capabilities in the Kingdom.

Morocco Confirms Its Attractiveness for Digital Giants

During the inauguration, Aziz Akhannouch emphasized that Oracle’s decision to continue expanding in Morocco reflects the country’s credibility as an investment destination for research and development activities and advanced technologies.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the quality of Moroccan talent, the robustness of training institutions, and the national ambition to make digital technology a driver of economic growth.

The opening of the Agadir center is expected to create new opportunities for engineers, developers, researchers, and specialists in digital technologies in Morocco.
