A Program Dedicated to the Economic Recovery of Al Haouz
Meeting on June 25 in Marrakech, the Emerging Business Foundation (EBF) assessed the impact of the PROMET 4 Al Haouz program, which has been implemented since January 2025 to support entrepreneurs and economic structures affected by the earthquake.
The goal of this initiative is to promote the resumption of local economic activities, strengthen the capabilities of project leaders, and facilitate their integration into formal economic networks.
Over 1,280 Beneficiaries Supported
In less than ten months, the program has supported 1,284 beneficiaries, of which 68% are women, confirming the central role of female entrepreneurship in the economic recovery dynamic of the Al Haouz province.
PROMET 4 Al Haouz has also identified 100 cooperatives and very small, small, and medium enterprises (TPMEs) to enhance their visibility and access to market opportunities.
Commercial Contracts to Support Local Businesses
One of the main achievements of the program is the establishment of 25 commercial contracts, providing new development opportunities for the cooperatives and enterprises involved.
According to the EBF, these partnerships contribute to the sustainable integration of local entrepreneurs into value chains and enhance their competitiveness.
A Proximity-Based Support Approach
On this occasion, Nisrine Dahmani, General Director of the Emerging Business Foundation, emphasized that PROMET 4 Al Haouz goes beyond mere post-earthquake support.
She suggested that this initiative demonstrates that localized support, coupled with an adapted methodology and the engagement of partners, enables local entrepreneurs to rebuild their businesses and establish themselves sustainably in the formal economy.
The 68% of female beneficiaries and the 25 commercial contracts secured illustrate, according to her, the tangible impact of the program on the local economic fabric.
