Nador West Med: Petrostar Maroc Completes Its First Refueling Operation at the East Terminal

Petrostar Morocco Takes a Significant Step Forward
Petrostar Morocco has reached a new milestone in its development by conducting its first maritime refueling operation at the East Terminal of the Nador West Med port. This operation is part of the ongoing construction of this strategic infrastructure, which is set to become one of the key maritime hubs in the Mediterranean.
The company provided fuel to the vessel ZHEN HUA 24, which is tasked with transporting new cranes destined for the West Med Container Terminal, a crucial piece of equipment for the terminal’s future container operations.
Strategic Equipment for the Future Terminal
The arrival of these cranes signifies a new phase in the gradual commissioning of the Nador West Med port complex.
These handling equipment will play a central role in the loading and unloading of containers, thereby enhancing the logistical capabilities of the future port and improving its competitiveness on major international shipping routes.
Petrostar Morocco Continues Its Development
According to Yassine El Omari, founder and CEO of Petrostar Morocco, this inaugural operation marks an important step in the company’s journey.
He emphasizes that the company is committed to supporting significant port infrastructure projects in the Kingdom through its expertise in maritime refueling services.
This new mission reinforces Petrostar Morocco’s presence in the main Moroccan ports, where it engages with commercial vessels and port operators.
Proven Experience in Major Port Projects
This is not Petrostar Morocco’s first involvement in a national-level project.
The company previously executed a refueling operation at the Casablanca Cruise Port shortly after its official inauguration by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, further confirming its role in supporting the Kingdom’s new port infrastructures.
A Moroccan Company Specializing in Oil Services
Founded in 2012 in Agadir, Petrostar Morocco specializes in activities related to the oil industry.
The company is involved in maritime refueling, energy services for businesses, fuel distribution, and the marketing of lubricants.
With its first operation at Nador West Med, Petrostar Morocco reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of major logistical and port projects in Morocco, as the Kingdom strengthens its position as a key platform for maritime trade between Europe, Africa, and the Mediterranean.
