The SRM-SM Presents the Progress of the Structural Program for Water, Sanitation, and Wastewater Reuse

The Souss-Massa Multiservice Regional Company (SRM-SM) participated in the Steering and Monitoring Committee meeting for the structural program related to drinking water, liquid sanitation, and the reuse of treated wastewater in the prefectures of Agadir Ida-Outanane and Inzegane-Aït Melloul, held under the presidency of Mr. Wali of the Souss-Massa Region, Governor of the Agadir Ida-Outanane Prefecture.

This meeting brought together representatives from ministerial departments, local authorities, public institutions, and all partners involved in the implementation of this strategic program. As the project owner executing the program, SRM-SM presented the status of project progress and provided secretarial support for the Committee.

On this occasion, SRM-SM presented an overview of the achievements made since the program’s launch and outlined the prospects for continuing the projects. By mid-July 2026, the investment commitment rate had reached nearly 80%, amounting to approximately 1.692 billion dirhams, allocated to drinking water supply projects, as well as those related to liquid sanitation and the reuse of treated wastewater.

The committed projects primarily concern:

  • the reinforcement and extension of drinking water networks;
  • improving water supply security;
  • enhancement of network efficiency;
  • rehabilitation and extension of wastewater treatment plants;
  • creation of structures for the transfer and transportation of wastewater;
  • rehabilitation of sewage systems;
  • improvement of stormwater management;
  • technical studies and project monitoring.
