Cisco Strengthens Its Digital Initiative in Morocco
The American company Cisco is set to strengthen its presence in Morocco through a new partnership aimed at accelerating the development of the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure. The technology firm has teamed up with Cybastion to enhance cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and digital capabilities for both public administrations and private enterprises.
Announced on August 31, 2026, this partnership aims to contribute to the establishment of a sovereign digital infrastructure in Morocco, amid the rapid acceleration of the country’s digital transformation.
Cisco and Cybastion Focus on Sovereign Digital Solutions
The collaboration between Cisco and Cybastion encompasses several strategic areas, particularly the protection of IT systems, the development of cloud infrastructures, and the enhancement of national digital capacities.
The goal is to meet the needs of both public institutions and private companies while enabling them to better control their data and technological infrastructures.
This initiative comes at a time when Morocco is striving to bolster its digital sovereignty and reduce its reliance on foreign infrastructures for certain sensitive data. This focus is part of the strategic ambitions outlined in the Digital Morocco 2030 initiative, which aims to develop a sovereign cloud specifically for public administration data.
A Dedicated Offering for Critical Infrastructures
To support this evolution, Cisco is promoting its offering of “Sovereign Critical Infrastructure”, designed to meet the needs of organizations wanting to retain more control over their data, operations, and networks.
The solution covers several essential components of digital infrastructures, including networks, servers, cybersecurity, as well as IT management tools.
With this approach, Cisco aims to enable organizations to enhance their resilience against cyberattacks and potential service disruptions, all while further securing their critical infrastructures.
Morocco Accelerates in Cloud and Cybersecurity
The new partnership is part of a broader digital transformation strategy in Morocco. The Kingdom is currently multiplying projects related to data centers, cloud computing, 5G, and the security of IT systems.
This strategy also seeks to support the rise of artificial intelligence and digital services, while placing increasing importance on the localization and protection of strategic data.
In this context, Cisco had already expanded its sovereign digital infrastructure offerings to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in April 2026, in response to the growing demand from administrations and businesses wanting to leverage the cloud and artificial intelligence without losing control over their data and equipment.

Through its partnership with Cybastion, Cisco intends to support Morocco in a new phase of its digital transformation.
