Laprophan Goes Public with a 2.22 Billion Dirham Offering

Moroccan Pharmaceutical Group Laprophan Takes a Significant Step with Its Casablanca Stock Exchange Debut

The Moroccan pharmaceutical group Laprophan has reached a new milestone in its development with its upcoming listing on the Casablanca Stock Exchange. On October 28, 2026, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) approved the prospectus for the operation, with a total maximum amount reaching 2.22 billion dirhams. The subscription price has been set at 341 dirhams per share, with the subscription period scheduled from November 9 to November 17, 2026.

A 2.22 Billion Dirham Operation

Laprophan’s stock exchange introduction involves two complementary components. The first pertains to a capital increase open to the public, amounting to approximately 1.4 billion dirhams, including issuance premiums. The second involves the sale of 2,412,200 existing shares held by MC IV Pharma and MC IV Morocco, valued at a maximum of 822.56 million dirhams.

In total, the offer represents up to 2,222,535,700 dirhams. Following this operation, the shares offered to the public will account for 37.64% of the group’s capital and voting rights.

This initiative comes at a time when Laprophan seeks to strengthen its financial resources to support its growth, industrial investments, and ongoing acquisition strategy both in Morocco and internationally.

Financing Growth and Industrial Investments

The stock exchange listing is expected to enable the group to solidify its financial structure and mobilize additional resources for its development projects. Laprophan aims to expand its portfolio of medicines, enhance its production capacity, and bolster its research and development activities.

In recent years, the laboratory has accelerated its expansion through various external growth operations. In 2024, it acquired Amanys Pharma, enhancing its presence in hospital medications, oncology, and antibiotic production. The same year, it secured a 75% stake in Botanic Pharma, which specializes in dietary supplements.

In February 2026, the group also acquired 60% of the Swiss company Rivopharm, thereby strengthening its industrial and commercial foothold in Europe.

An additional operation is underway with the acquisition of Corporate Investment Holding, the parent company of the Polymedic laboratory. The contract was signed in October 2026, but the finalization of this transaction is subject to required regulatory approvals, including that of the Competition Council.

A Pharmaceutical Group Operating in Over 50 Countries

Founded in 1949, Laprophan has progressively expanded its activities in research, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of medicines. The group claims to hold a portfolio of over 1,300 marketing authorizations covering 15 therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular diseases, digestive disorders, infectious diseases, and oncology.

Its industrial setup consists of four sites located in Morocco and Switzerland, representing approximately 76,500 square meters of built-up space. According to data provided by the group, its industrial capacities exceed 180 million sales units per year, factoring in planned developments.

Laprophan employs nearly 1,450 staff and markets its products, directly or indirectly, in over 50 countries. This international presence is a key component of its development strategy, alongside the enhancement of its industrial and scientific activities.

A New Chapter for the Moroccan Pharmaceutical Industry

With this stock exchange listing, Laprophan aims to facilitate its scaling up and support its ambitions in both the Moroccan and international markets. The funds raised are intended to finance its external growth, strengthen its industrial capabilities, and continue the development of its product portfolio.

This operation occurs as the group integrates its recent acquisitions and prepares for new investments. Its successful entry into the stock market will represent a significant milestone in this strategy, while the subscription period from November 9 to November 17, 2026, will allow the public to participate in the offer under the terms outlined in the prospectus approved by the AMMC.
