Fez: Launch of the New Logistics Zone Worth 275 Million Dirhams

On Wednesday, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, officially launched the work on the future logistics zone of Fès, located in the province of Moulay Yacoub. This key project, supported by the Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL) in partnership with the Fès-Meknès Regional Council, represents a public investment of nearly 275 million dirhams.

An 18-Month Project

The construction will span an 18-month period, with commissioning expected in 2027. This new logistics platform aligns with the national strategy aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s logistics competitiveness and supporting the development of economic activities in the region.

The goal is to create a modern infrastructure capable of meeting the growing needs of transport, logistics, and storage operators.

A First Phase of 32 Hectares

The first phase of the project will cover 32 hectares of a total land area of 100 hectares.

The platform will host next-generation warehouses, refrigerated storage spaces, as well as facilities dedicated to transport, distribution, and logistics services.

Ultimately, nearly 400,000 square meters of developed land will be available to investors for projects in the transport, storage, and related service sectors.

Commercialization Expected by Early 2027

The AMDL plans to officially launch the marketing of the logistics zone in early 2027 to allow companies to reserve their spaces and prepare for future investments.

This platform aims to become a new regional logistics hub, capable of improving supply chain fluidity, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing the economic attractiveness of the Fès-Meknès region.

A Catalyst for Regional Development

Through this project, public authorities continue to implement the national strategy for developing logistics competitiveness.

The future logistics zone of Fès will help support investments, improve infrastructure for businesses, and foster the growth of industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors in the region.
