After JAC Motors, Ningbo Gaofa Strengthens Chinese Presence in the Moroccan Automotive Industry

Chinese Company Ningbo Gaofa Automotive Control System Establishes Subsidiary in Morocco

The Chinese firm Ningbo Gaofa Automotive Control System has officially launched its subsidiary in Morocco, named “Gaofa Automotive Control System (Morocco) Co. LTD.” This venture involves an initial investment estimated at $20 million to establish a production facility focused on exports, as reported by Moroccan media on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

This new industrial site will specialize in manufacturing automotive components, including gear shift control systems, electronic accelerator pedals, and various categories of cables intended for the automotive sector.

According to the same sources, this establishment in Morocco will enable the Chinese equipment supplier to strengthen its proximity to local manufacturers, particularly Stellantis and Renault, who have a significant presence in the region and Europe. The project will be fully funded through the company’s own resources.

Just days earlier, JAC Motors announced its entry into the Moroccan market through an exclusive partnership with M-AUTOMOTIV. Operating in over 130 countries, the Chinese automaker is focusing on a diverse range of offerings tailored to both individual consumers and businesses.

Its development strategy combines the importation of finished vehicles with local assembly to bolster the national automotive industry. Featured models include the electric vehicles E30X and M3 EV, designed to meet the demands of urban mobility and green logistics.

In the commercial and heavy vehicle segment, the brand also markets the T8 and T8 PRO pickup trucks, the locally assembled Sunray minibus, the compact utility vehicle X200, as well as 9T and 18T trucks equipped with Cummins engines.
