Al Haouz: The PROMET 4 Program Supports Over 1,280 Entrepreneurs to Accelerate Economic Recovery

The Emerging Business Foundation’s Results in Al Haouz
The Emerging Business Foundation (EBF) unveiled the outcomes of the PROMET 4 Al Haouz program in Marrakech, launched in January 2025 to support the economic recovery of areas affected by the earthquake. In less than ten months, the initiative has assisted over 1,280 beneficiaries, with a notable participation of women and the establishment of several commercial contracts.
A Program Dedicated to Al Haouz’s Economic Recovery
On June 25 in Marrakech, the EBF reviewed the progress made by the PROMET 4 Al Haouz program, which has been operational since January 2025, aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and economic structures impacted by the earthquake.
The goal of this initiative is to promote the recovery of local economic activities, strengthen the capacities of project holders, and facilitate their integration into formal economic circuits.
Over 1,280 Beneficiaries Supported
In less than ten months, the program has supported 1,284 beneficiaries, of whom 68% are women, highlighting the crucial role of female entrepreneurship in the economic recovery efforts within Al Haouz province.
PROMET 4 Al Haouz has also registered 100 cooperatives and very small, small, and medium-sized enterprises (TPMEs) to enhance their visibility and access to market opportunities.
Commercial Contracts to Support Local Businesses
A significant achievement of the program is the realization of 25 commercial contracts, providing new growth prospects for the cooperatives and businesses that were supported.
According to the EBF, these partnerships contribute to the sustainable integration of local entrepreneurs into value chains and enhance their competitiveness.
An Approach Based on Proximity and Support
During the event, Nisrine Dahmani, the General Director of the Emerging Business Foundation, emphasized that PROMET 4 Al Haouz transcends a mere post-earthquake support program.
She remarked that this initiative demonstrates how close support, combined with an adapted methodology and mobilization of partners, enables local entrepreneurs to rebuild their businesses and sustainably integrate into the formal economy.
The 68% of female beneficiaries along with the 25 commercial contracts illustrate, according to her, the concrete impact of the program on the local economic fabric.
