From School to Society… An Initiative to Embed the Culture of Rational Drinking Water Consumption in the Rabat–Salé–Kénitra Region

A School Awareness Program Connecting Education to Environmental Citizenship
As part of its mission to enhance environmental awareness and promote a culture of responsible natural resource management, the Regional Multiservices Company of Rabat–Salé–Kénitra organized an awareness day at Houmane Fetouaki school on December 16, 2025. This initiative, in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Kénitra under the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, highlights the commitment of various stakeholders to educate younger generations about the importance of preserving drinking water.
Simplifying the Water Cycle and Promoting Responsible Use
This educational event allowed students to discover, in a simple and interactive manner, the various stages of producing and distributing drinking water. It emphasized the need to use this vital resource wisely, especially considering the increasing challenges it faces. Practical advice was also shared, applicable both at school and at home, to encourage the adoption of daily responsible behaviors that contribute to combating water waste.
Interactive Workshops to Stimulate Learning and Participation
To enhance student engagement in this awareness campaign, the day’s program featured a variety of educational and fun activities. Presentations were accompanied by awareness-raising videos, alongside interactive workshops that encouraged exchange and participation, as well as games and quizzes with prizes, making the messages more accessible and relatable for the young audience.
A Sustainable Initiative for Future Generations
This action is part of a continuous awareness program through which the Regional Multiservices Company of Rabat–Salé–Kénitra aims to instill a culture of water preservation in future generations, viewing schools as a fundamental lever for building collective consciousness. The campaign will continue throughout the year in several schools across the region, with the goal of promoting best practices related to responsible drinking water consumption.
