Marjane Allocates 600 Million Dirhams to Accelerate Its Expansion in Morocco and Africa

Marjane Group Boosts Investment Capacity with 600 Million Dirhams Raise

The Marjane Group is strengthening its investment capacity after securing 600 million dirhams through a bond issuance conducted as part of a private placement. This financial operation aims to support a new investment program designed to accelerate the group’s growth in Morocco and across the African continent.

This strategy is built on several development pillars. Internationally, Marjane plans to expand its presence in West Africa by opening four new stores in Ivory Coast and Senegal, consolidating its position in high-potential growth markets.

In Morocco, the distributor continues to enhance its commercial network with plans to open 12 new hypermarkets in different regions of the Kingdom. The goal is to get closer to consumers, broaden its offerings, and improve the customer experience.

The investment program also includes a significant focus on modernizing the supply chain. The group aims to bolster its infrastructure and invest in digital solutions to optimize inventory management, streamline procurement operations, and enhance its overall performance.

In line with its sustainable development strategy, Marjane is also accelerating its energy transition. The group plans to equip nearly 30 hypermarkets with solar energy production systems to reduce its reliance on conventional energy sources and lessen its carbon footprint.

Alongside its distribution activities, Marjane is diversifying its investments by increasing its presence in the entertainment sector, particularly through the development of its cinema network. This direction aims to transform its shopping centers into multifunctional spaces that integrate retail, leisure, and services.

With this fundraising initiative, Marjane intends to support its growth, modernize its operational model, and strengthen its position among the leading players in the retail sector in Morocco and Africa.
