Moroccan-American Talks to Strengthen Military Cooperation on the Sidelines of “African Lion”

Under high royal instructions, the General Inspector of the Royal Armed Forces, Mohammed Berrid, met with U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll on the sidelines of the 22nd edition of the “African Lion” exercise.

Strengthening the Strategic Partnership
The discussions focused on ways to enhance military cooperation between Morocco and the United States within the framework of a constantly evolving strategic partnership, supported by ongoing dialogue and joint exercises.

Robust Military Relations
Both parties praised the strength of the relations between the armed forces of the two countries, highlighting that the “African Lion” exercise serves as a prime example of this cooperation, especially as it coincides this year with the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

Visit to the Multinational Operations Center
The meeting concluded with a visit to the multinational operations center, where officials learned about the ongoing training and the modern technologies deployed during these maneuvers.
