Morocco: Relatively Warm Weather and Thunderstorms Expected This Thursday
Weather Forecast: A Warm Thursday Across the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Meteorology anticipates relatively warm weather this Thursday, particularly in the extreme south of the Kingdom. Local fog formations are expected along the northern and central Atlantic coasts, as well as in the northern regions of the Saharan provinces.
Localized Thunderstorms Expected in Several Areas
According to meteorological forecasts, scattered showers, which may locally turn thunderous, are predicted for the southern Oriental region and the southeast of the country. Some rainfall could also impact the northern Saharan provinces and the mountainous areas of the Atlas and their adjacent western slopes.
Additionally, strong gusts of wind are anticipated in the southern Oriental, High Atlas, central coasts, southeast, and southern provinces, with localized dust storms expected in certain areas.
Temperature Variances by Region
Minimum temperatures are set to range from 3 to 9 degrees Celsius in the Atlas and Rif mountainous regions. They will vary between 14 and 19 degrees Celsius in the plains of Moulouya, southern Oriental, coastal areas, and the western Saharan provinces.
In the southeast and the southern and eastern regions of the Saharan provinces, minimum temperatures are expected to be between 19 and 24 degrees Celsius, while the rest of the country will see them ranging from 9 to 14 degrees Celsius.
Sea Conditions: From Calm to Rough
As for sea conditions, the Mediterranean and the Strait will experience generally calm waters, with slight agitation between Cape Spartel and Safi. However, rougher waters are expected to the south of Cape Barbas, while the rest of the Atlantic coasts will see conditions ranging from calm to moderately rough.
